The 5WiW project with a VW van as main feature may have been  predestined for me all along. VW are the initials of my last name and first name indeed: Vanhouche Wouter.

But the goal of 5WiW reaches way beyond what one individual can do. The invitation is to bring and share this otherworldly “Arctic” peace & wisdom closer to home here in Central Europe. Those energies do not come from me. Thought I might assist in facilitating the process.

From that perspective, my personal role is only of secondary importance.  Nonetheless, here is a little background.

Apart from my travel experience in the Arctic, and all over the world, I identify as a conscious slow paced driver.
I have a psychology degree from the mainstream Western education system (Phd). From a generative coaching program I learned that new information is integrated better when we are in a flow state; and that it might be beneficial to focus on people’s strengths rather than their weaknesses. From self study I learned a lot about the body-mind connection (the onewheel) and also about giftedness.

But it wasn’t until a spiritual awakening rocked my world in my 40s, that I finally received answers to deeper questions I had been sitting with for decades and that had led me to go study psychology in the first place.

Now another ten years later, my experiences with the Arctic seem to have sparked a major second wave of awakening. And the 5th Wheel of the Wagon project is one way to come to terms with that.

I will draw or even mentor from any or all of these perspectives should the occasion demand it.

But the intent here is different than in the traditional psychologist - client relationship. The goal in our conversations will be to have an equal relationship, even if I might be the one in the driver’s seat. We will, after all, be sitting alongside one another. And that is not a coincidence. It might be a Sign of the Times — times that are in desperate need of fundamental changes.

This is where that is coming from: I also identify as a highly sensitive person (HSP). According to some sources my profile could categorise as gifted. And I might have more autistic traits than I previously had been aware of, I recently found out. Meaning I am not attracted to small talk. My system can get overwhelmed easily for instance in larger crowds or with loud noises.

From that autism perspective I also realised that I might retreat into my own world when overwhelmed. That world might be very creative and imaginative. But limited to just me.

And from the awakening perspective, we know that we all are invited to raise above our own little thinking world, and to look at it “from the outside”.

And that, too is then what this 5th Wheel in the Wagon project could be: a way to finally allow others into that world. A way to elevate the experience such that other, likeminded individuals might perhaps start doing the same.

Because if we look at the current chaotic state of our world, we want to muster as much creativity as possible. And the wagon is aimed at creating an ideal safe context to facilitate that process in a very particular way.

The good thing: I do get strong energy from deep conversations. Especially those in a 1-on-1 situation and in a comfortable and safe setting. Unexpected insights tend to come up during such conversations, not necessarily through me.

In other words, as a co-pilot you might be doing way more than just contributing to your own little world. I, for one, may get personally energised. And who knows who, beyond yourself, might benefit from the creative ideas that will come up during or even after a ride …

This is one reason why the rides with the wagon have are priced in an unusually low way, and why I want to mostly donate my time and expertise, at least for as long as my own situation allows.
